There is something beautifully eerie about these photos. Maybe it's because they epitomize the sounds of silence of a bygone era that once defined the region. We too seldom if every step back into the past but we can never truly understand our present without first visiting our past. All that remains is a professional football team logo and name plus a few smoke stacks. These photos do not tell a story but rather offers the viewer to interpret them. And this is my interpretation.
